IJMB simply means – Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination. We believe a lot of people have heard about the IJMB programme but do not have an idea about the full details and how it works.
The IJMB Programme is a nine month advanced level programme organised and moderated by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, with different partnered accredited study centres nation wide. The programme is meant to help lessen the high rate of students who do not meet up with JAMB Admission. The IJMB programme after completion qualifies students for Admission to 200L in any university of their choice and to study their desired course.
Unlike JAMB were students need to make sure their O’level result si complete before applying, In the case of IJMB, awaiting result candidates can apply. Also, students who have deficiencies in their O’level English and Mathematics can be remedied in the IJMB programme.
IS IJMB RECOGNISED BY ALL INSTITUTIONS?
The answer is No. Not all universities accept the IJMB programme. Over 80% of both Federal, State and Private Universities accept the IJMB programme for 200L university admission. IS IT TRUE I WILL BE ADMITTED TO 200L?
The answer is YES. The IJMB programme avails students the opportunity of being admitted to 200L in any university of their choice. Every year, More than 17,000 students register for this programme and about 90% of students who apply gain admission to their desired universities. Students have applied for JAMB can also enrol for the IJMB programme in other not to put all their eggs in one basket.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR THE IJMB ADMISSION?
The required documents for the IJMB Programme are: 6 passport photographs and photocopies of your O’level result. However, students who are awaiting result can also apply for the programme. All departments can apply for the IJMB programme and any course can be studied with the IJMB certificate.
ADVANTAGES OF IJMB AND WHERE TO APPLY
JAMB is not required in the IJMB Programme, No POST-UTME, Payment can be made on installment. The IJMB is equivalent to 100L in the University. 200L admission is assured. The IJMB certificate does not expire unlike JAMB that is meant to be used for a year.

The reason for this is because, there are a lot of websites online who are out there to scam the unsuspecting students of their hard earned money.
